Larry Myer Executive Director
Myer has been in the real estate investment business for over 30 years and is a Missouri and Kansas real estate broker. His real estate sales company, Inner City Realty, LLC is a leader in the urban core sales and investment market.
Through his renovation company, ICR Real Estate Services, he has renovated over 1500 single family and multi family properties primarily in the Kansas City Missouri urban core. His client base consists of out of state and out of country real estate investors from all corners of the United States and as far away as Australia and China.
Myer has shared his expertise on real estate investing and property management through numerous real estate investment podcasts and webinars and publicly through speaking engagements throughout the country.
He is a member of National Association of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors, Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors, and Midwest Association of Real Estate Investors. Larry is also is a board member of reStart, Inc. reStart provides temporary and permanent housing solutions and other support services for the KC Metro homeless community.
Larry earned a degree in Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1978.
Thomas Cohen Board Member
Tom serves as Treasurer on the board of Tikkun- KC, Inc. He is also a board member of Take Flight KC, an organization which focuses on enhancing the quality of life for the permanently disabled and home-bound population.
Currently he is based in San Diego, serving as Senior Vice President of Barry Slatt Mortgage, a San Francisco based mortgage banking company. Prior to joining Barry Slatt Mortgage, he co-founded JC CAP LLC, a Kansas City based mortgage brokerage firm and prior to that served as Senior Vice President of the Kansas City office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp.
Along with his civic and professional responsibilities, Cohen is on the Advisory Board of what will become San Diego’s newest Community Bank, Endeavor Bank. Prior to his move to San Diego, Cohen served on the board of directors of Peoples Bank, a Kansas Banking company, along with his synagogue.
Cohen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University in Boston, MA, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law.
Ron Fredman Board Member
Fredman, a native of Kansas City, Mo., began his career as a sportswriter for The Kansas City Star. His background includes more than two decades as a national fundraising consultant. His career includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for the Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Ballet and presently the Phoenix Symphony.
Ron is a frequent speaker at national, regional and local fundraising and business conferences, where his energy, interactive style and common sense draw strong reviews. He has designed and taught business courses at the corporate and community college level, and has written for many publications.
He has been a Scoutmaster since 1981, is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association and also serves the Heart of America Council as a member of the Marketing Committee. He is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America and was 2005 President of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of PRSA.
Lauren Fasbinder Board Member
President of Fasbinder & Associates, Inc she has more than 25 years’ experience in public relations and as a reporter.
Fasbinder has earned more than 30 national, regional, and local awards for excellence in communications. She also has served as a judge for communication award programs.
In addition to serving her clients, Fasbinder has taught public relations at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has served as a guest lecturer for MBA classes and as a consultant for the Small Business Development Center.
Fasbinder held positions with two Kansas City area newspapers after graduating with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism. She also served as Director of Public Relations for Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Through the years, Fasbinder has provided public relations services to a number of nonprofit organizations including the Rose Brooks Center, Congregation Beth Torah, Jackson County Casa and CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties.
Rabbi Scott White Board Member
Rabbi White has been the spiritual leader of Congration Ohev Shalom in his native Kansas City since 2005. He was graduated from Kansas University in 1979 and ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1986. He held pulpits in Rhode Island and North Carolina before returning to Kansas City in 1994 to join the faculty of Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, where he taught for 10 years while rotating between weekend pulpits in St Joseph, MO and Lawrence . KS.
Leslie K. Rosenfeld Board Member
Leslie K. Rosenfeld graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Business and Public Administration (B.S.P.A., cum laude) in 1982 and the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1985, where he was a Member of the Board of Advocates. He is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Bars for the District of Kansas and Western District of Missouri (Federal). Mr. Rosenfeld is a shareholder in Kusnetzky, Schwartz, Rosenfeld, Sailler and Lilla, P.C., in Kansas City, Missouri, representing financial institutions, other businesses and individuals.
Mr. Rosenfeld practices primarily in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors rights. He also practices in other fields of law including probate, transactions and governance of not-for-profit entities and serves as a legislative analyst.
Jordan Myer Board Member
Jordan is a licensed Missouri and Kansas real estate agent who specializes in urban core property management, sales and renovation. He will coordinate the maintenance and use of our vacant lots and interface directly with our property renovation contractors and report directly to the board as each property moves through the renovation process. He will also assist in the move in process as each new homeowner gets settled into their new home. In addition, Jordan will also be involved in sourcing new acquisitions and attending monthly neighborhood association meetings where our houses are located.
